Welcome to St. John Vianney !

We welcome new members into St. John Vianney Parish, a community of faith, hope, and love.  We will strive to foster your spiritual growth and hope you will share with us the gifts God has given you. Registration forms are available in the back of the church or in the Parish Office.

From Father Jim:
Fr. Chris Berbena to be transferred:
After 10+ years of wonderful service to our parish community and John Muir Medical Center, Fr. Chris will be transferred as Associate Pastor to nearby Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill. He will replace Fr. Aidan McAleenan who will transfer as Associate Pastor to Holy Spirit Church in Fremont. Although Fr. Chris’ transfer was expected (as early as July 1st) it will be a great loss for us! He will assume his new ministry shortly after Labor Day.
We will have farewell receptions in Mullen Commons after the Masses closer to his departure, with a blessing at all Masses on the weekend before he departs. Stay tuned for more information… Thank you, Chris, for your great dedication and love of your priestly ministry – and your perseverance and faith!

New Music Director arrives:
As I announced recently, I am delighted to tell you that the search for our new Director of Liturgical Music (DLM) has come to a successful conclusion. We are most fortunate to welcome Michael Joyce to our SJV music ministry and our parish community. Meet Michael Joyce...
