leaves
most of
us in a
state of
shock,
confusion
and
sadness.
Grieving
people
need
time and
space to
honor
their
grief.

Glenn
Perry
and Jeff
Behring,
co-director
of the
well-respected,
non-profit
Wheelchair
Foundation,
which
has
delivered
over
800,000
wheelchairs
to more
than 150
countries,
recently
returned
from the
ravaged
country
of
Haiti.
They
delivered
over
10,000
pounds
of
medical
supplies
along
with 50
wheelchairs
and
found
themselves
drawn
into
hands-on
assistance
in
numerous
ways. |

and Jeff
will
share
their
experience
in
Haiti,
including
a short
video of
their
recent
efforts.
Because
of their
first-hand
experience
of the
devastation
they
encountered
Glenn
and Jeff
have
committed
themselves
to
sharing
how
others
may
assist
the
people
of
Haiti.
As Glenn
has
stated,
“The
purpose
of our
“Relief
to
Haiti”
mission
is to
educate
people
about
the long
term
effort
it will
take to
rebuild
this
country.
Housing
is a
major
problem
as
people
will not
go
inside
any
building
because
of the
fear of
it
collapsing.
Over
1,000,000
are
living
in tent
camps.
Food and
water
presents
a major
problem.
Diseases
will
rise to
endemic
proportions
if we do
not act
soon.” |

The
JustFaith
program
offers
parishioners
an
opportunity
to
experience
a
spiritual
journey
into
compassion
and
provides
a lively
and
challenging
format
to read,
discuss,
pray,
experience
and be
formed
by the
Catholic
justice
tradition
that,
when
lived
out,
changes
lives,
inspires
faithful
witness,
and
transforms
the
world
through
love and
service.
A
committed
group of
parishioners,
ranging
from
graduate
students
to
senior
citizens,
is
currently
meeting
and
finds
the
program
compelling.
Beginning
in , a
new
group
will
form to
begin
the
process
which
involves
thirty
weekly
sessions,
two
retreats,
and four
immersion
experiences. |
